Letter to the Editor of Red Rock News on Tom Bird Sedona is Fortunate to Have Tom Bird Here Sedona area residents are truly blessed that Tom Bird lives here and has so generously offered free workshops on how to write books and get them published. I was among the couple of hundred individuals who attended Tom's free workshop Wednesday evening at the Creative Life Center. Tom managed to provide more practical, valuable and useful information in 3 hours than is usually delivered in several days of similar training. I speak from experience having invested tens of thousands of dollars in the past couple of years studying publishing, electronic publishing and Internet marketing in preparation for launching several non-profit organizations. For example I have attended Mark Victor Hansen's 3-day Mega Book Publishing University four times and what Tom shares is right on the money! Everything that I have learned over the past few years about how to be successful in today's new world of publishing was validated and even enhanced by the detailed instruction and examples that Tom provided for free. While Tom doesn't (yet) address electronic publishing, promotion and marketing like Mark Victor Hansen does www.ultimatemegabookmarketing.com) and Internet marketing like Armand Morin does in the www.ultimatebigseminar.com, Tom's talents and generous gifts to Sedona area residents are indeed significant and substantial. The more writers from Sedona who become published, the greater the economic benefit to the community and the local economy.
